If you re cleaning out a round brush flip it over and do the same on the opposite side. Place them face down on a clean dry towel and allow them to air dry overnight. Pre washing means you need to get all the brushes together and make these ready for cleaning. Put all the brushes into the box and add water. You do this so you don t end up cutting your bristles with the next step next go in with your scissors and cut straight down the middle as seen above.
Make sure you pour a lot of water that it can totally cover the brushes. The vinegar is used to kill any bacteria and germs. Blend one teaspoon of baking soda one teaspoon of shampoo and one cup of water together. If a few hairs are still trapped you can always use a toothbrush to dislodge them. These brushes and combs can all withstand a monthly bath since they can dry completely.
Fill up the sink or bowl with warm water add a small amount of clarifying or gentle shampoo like good. Then cut through the loosened hair with scissors and pull the cut hair out with your hands. All hairbrush types need cleaning but how you dry yours depends on the type not to mention the climate. And for cleaning it you need to take a bucket or a large box so that the bushes can be soaked well. Mix dish soap with warm water to create a mild cleaning solution then dip an old toothbrush in the solution and scrub the hairbrush or comb down thoroughly before rinsing it with clean water. Allow to sit for one hour or over night.
