To clean a hairbrush start by using the pointed end of a comb to pull up the matted hair on the brush. When it comes to nit combs and fine toothed combs these are best sterilized in acidic substances such as vinegar or a special liquid that ensures all the beasties are removed effectively. Once you ve removed all of the hair scrub the brush with shampoo and baking soda using an old toothbrush.
If you have a very dirty brush you might need to use an old toothbrush to clean the base and bristles. Allow to sit for one hour or over night. Cover brushes with hot water not boiling add 1 tablespoon of dish detergent and 1 tablespoon of vinegar.
